Claws Up! Baltimore Claws Snapback

May 12, 2015

How 'bout dem Claws? Crustaceans might not make the fiercest team mascots, but a crab’s probably no stupider than a pelican. The Baltimore Claws were a short-lived American Basketball Association franchise that lasted a whole three games during the 1975-76 pre-season. Here’s a nice run down of their inglorious existence. Sure the name was a bit kooky (originally the team was named the Baltimore Hustlers – now that I can buy). But I like the bold, uncluttered confidence of the stylised  ‘C’ logo, typical of the inventive designs of the day. Happy to reel this snapback straight out of eBay.
